Tourism Whistler Welcomes Jamal Jordan as Manager, Conference Sales

Whistler, B.C. – Tourism Whistler is pleased to welcome Jamal Jordan as its newest Manager, Conference Sales, strengthening the organization’s presence in Eastern Canada and its commitment to growing meetings, conferences and group business in Whistler.

Based in Toronto, Jordan will lead sales efforts across Eastern Canada, excluding Ottawa and Montreal, one of Whistler’s key markets for meetings and group business. He joins Tourism Whistler on a nine-month contract beginning September 21, 2026.

Jordan brings nearly 30 years of hospitality and meetings industry experience spanning hotel operations, sales leadership, commercial strategy and national account management. His career includes roles with leading global hospitality organizations including Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Hilton, giving him extensive experience working with meeting professionals, corporate clients and industry partners across Canada.

His hospitality journey has also included time in Jasper, where he developed an early appreciation for the distinctive experiences, sense of place and connections that make Canada’s iconic mountain destinations exceptional settings for meetings and events.

Deeply connected to Canada’s meetings and events community, Jordan currently serves as President of the PCMA Canada East Chapter, where he champions industry collaboration, professional education and community impact.

In his new role, Jordan will showcase Whistler’s diverse portfolio of group hotels and meeting venues, including internationally recognized brands such as Four Seasons Resort Whistler, Fairmont Chateau Whistler, The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler, Hilton Whistler Resort & Spa and Delta Hotels by Marriott Whistler Village Suites, alongside Whistler’s broader accommodation and venue offering. He will also be responsible for generating group business for the Whistler Conference Centre, a beautifully designed, purpose-built facility offering 40,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space in the heart of Whistler Village.

The Whistler Conference Centre has also achieved Silver Level certification under the Events Industry Council Sustainable Event Standards, recognizing its commitment to environmental and social responsibility and providing meeting professionals with a more sustainable option for hosting events in Whistler.
