Whistler, B.C. – With four more full days of programming remaining, it’s not too late to let your taste buds run wild at Whistler Cornucopia – Whistler’s premier culinary event and annual celebration of food and drink. The festival’s closing weekend has 14 drink seminars on offer featuring wine, spirits, beer and more in an intimate setting led by world-class experts.

“Our drink seminars offer the ideal setting to deepen your knowledge and refine your palate,” says Justina Armstrong, Director of Operations at Whistler Cornucopia. “With experts to guide you, these intimate experiences explore a variety of topics and add a unique element to the Cornucopia schedule.”

Remaining drink seminar highlights include Seaside Wines on November 16 where attendees will sample great wines from coastal regions around the world, and Drink or Hold: Treasures of the Cornucopia Cellar and Other Gems on November 17, where presenter Samantha Rahn will lead an engaging tasting while helping to answer the age old question: how long should I keep this wine in my cellar?

Heading into the weekend, the learning continues with BC Craft Gin: A Taste of the West Coast on November 18, where attendees are shown how BC distilleries are reinventing gin using unique botanicals from Vancouver Island truffles, to seaweed, to the leaves, barks and berries of the Coastal Rainforest, and Whisky: From BC to the World on November 19, where BC’s small-batch whisky industry is celebrated through an intimate guided tasting.

Those with a thirst for knowledge may be equally intrigued by Cornucopia’s Culinary Stage Series where local and national chefs demonstrate their cooking tips and tricks while attendees enjoy multi-course, drink-paired menus. Remaining Culinary Stage Series events over Cornucopia’s final weekend feature renowned chefs Alana Maas, Cliff Crawford, and Luis Valenzuela.

Signature Events cap off the final weekend of Cornucopia with tickets still remaining for Comedy Kitchen on November 16, Poured on November 18, and the Bearfoot Bistro World Oyster Invitational & Bloody Caesar Battle on November 19.
