Whistler, BC – The first weekend of Nourish Spring Series by Cornucopia, was a true sampling of the month-long programming that food and wellness lovers can expect this June. Friday’s Farm to Table Dinner at the Den at Nita Lake Lodge had guests enjoying delicious cuisine and wine pairings, while the Trip to the Farm Progressive Lunch on Saturday educated attendees about sustainable agriculture practices and the bounty of Pemberton Valley's farms found on many of the Nourish Series menus.

“We’re thrilled by the response to Cornucopia’s new spring series, Nourish,” said Bree Eagles, Events Manager at Tourism Whistler. “This collaboration of local talent – from dance and fitness instructors to artists, cultural ambassadors, farmers, wellness experts, chefs and Whistler restaurateurs – is providing thoughtful opportunities for attendees to connect with nature, food, community and wellness. It’s a true sharing of passions and expertise across 30+ events.”

While Nourish Spring Series Grillin’ and Chillin’ events are selling out, there are still plenty of great options available. Of note, consider the Wellness Dinners each Saturday evening at Bearfoot Bistro, that offer a luxurious four-course meal prepared by world-renowned Whistler Executive Chef Melissa Craig. Dishes are thoughtfully crafted with a focus on wellness with ingredients that are both delicious and nourishing. Guests also have the option to add on wine or a zero-proof cocktail pairing from the restaurant’s talented bar team.

Another highlight of the Nourish Spring Series is the Paint & Picnic events on June 11 and 24 guided by professional artist Andrea Mueller, where attendees will unleash their inner artist while enjoying delectable picnic-style fare. Surrounded by the breathtaking natural beauty of Alta Lake, this event promises to be a mindful feast for both the body and soul.

For those looking to celebrate National Indigenous History Month, take in a Holistic Tour & Indigenous Tea Offering on the morning of Saturday June 17 and 24 at the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre. Guests will be welcomed with a hand drum song, and a Cultural Ambassador will guide an interpretive walk through the Salish Forest, presenting herbs and medicinal plants that grow in the region. Culminating in the SLCC’s Longhouse, guests experience an Indigenous tea offering, to learn and savour the healing benefits of traditional teas, served with handmade bannock.
