Whistler, B.C. – EVS Whistler, The Electric Vehicle & Sustainability Summit, presented by inspiratia, arrives in Whistler on November 19 – 22. Inspired by the surging growth in the electric vehicle market, the summit joins global energy and business leaders for three days of thought-leadership, partnership-building and insight into emerging opportunities in the electric vehicle community.

The summit brings together an exclusive group of industry professionals and investors, offering delegates the opportunity to engage with global leaders in the electric vehicle community in a single location. The summit’s panel discussions will join dozens of senior-level leaders from companies and organizations such as Electrify America, ChargePoint, Hubject, Nuvve, Autotech Ventures, Translink, Smart Electric Power Association (SEPA) Energize Ventures, EV Box, AMPLY Power, Envoy Technologies, Ballard Power Systems, BC Hydro and BC Transit, to name a few.

Along with high-level discussions and insights, delegates can also expect keynote speaker presentations, gala dinners, and numerous networking opportunities, kicking off with a cocktail reception at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre.

Brendan Jones, chief operating officer of Electrify America and keynote speaker at EVS Whistler, commented: “With the expected growth in electric transportation, Electrify America is focused on the installation of a comprehensive, open and ultra-fast charging network to help accommodate this dramatic shift. We need a vast DC fast charging network available for consumers as they will have dozens of new zero emission vehicles available for their daily transportation needs.”

“The summit in Whistler provides a chance to have a dialogue on these future challenges and opportunities of e-mobility,” said Jones.

“Electricity is the future of transportation,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Desmond. “Today, TransLink operates a fully electric rail service, a trolley-wire bus system, and we are introducing our first battery-powered electric buses. TransLink is proud to provide Metro Vancouver with sustainable transportation, and we are committed to an 80 per cent reduction of our carbon emissions by 2050.”

EVS Whistler is also proud to support gender equality and will actively promote diversity at all levels of the industry at the summit. EVS Whistler is delighted to be partnered with WiRE, Women in Renewable Energy, a Toronto-based global non-profit that advances the role and recognition of women in the energy sector.
