Whistler, B.C. – Crankworx returns to Whistler August 9 – 18, 2019, bringing together the best mountain bike athletes and most hard-core biking fans for a week of gravity-defying, awe-inspiring competitions coupled with incredible celebrations of mountain bike culture.

Celebrating the heart and soul of mountain biking, Crankworx Whistler provides the ultimate experience for bike enthusiasts with its action-packed festival full of races and competitions, cultural celebrations, events for kids, a jam-packed expo featuring the latest and greatest from the bike industry, and more. Deep Summer Photo Challenge – Tuesday, August 13
This iconic photography showdown tasks five photographers and one wildcard contestant to capture the best of mountain biking culture during the first weekend of Crankworx in order to compile a slideshow set to music. A crowd favourite every year, everything comes together as the six slideshows light up the screen at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

Dirt Diaries – Wednesday, August 14
Placing creative power into the hands of film-focused mountain bikers, filmmakers are tasked to capture the essence of the mountain biking experience into four to six-minute videos. Each video is judged based on storyline, videography, riding and editing, then screened in front of a massive audience under open skies at Whistler Olympic Plaza.

Red Bull Joyride – Saturday, August 17
The season-defining conclusion of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship and the Triple Crown of Slopestyle, Joyride brings together over 25,000 fans on the ground and millions more from around the world to the most challenging event on the circuit. This invitational showcase and custom-built course challenges 14 of the best riders in the world to give it their all.
