Whistler sends off winter in style at the World Ski and Snowboard Festival

Whistler, B.C. – The World Ski and Snowboard Festival returns to Whistler from April 7 – 16, 2017 bringing with it a celebration of sports, arts and the largest annual free Outdoor Concert Series in Canada. Experience the ultimate celebration in mountain culture as events take over the mountains and village for 10 straight days.

Catch Canada’s finest young freestylers as they compete for a national title in the Canadian Junior Freestyle National Championships happening in the Blackcomb Terrain Park from April 7 – 9. See snowboarders mix slopestyle and big air skills at the Monster Energy Boarderstyle on April 14 – 15. Capture what could be the next Jerry of the Day when the Twisted Tea Slush cup returns to the festival roster on Friday, April 14 at Glacier Creek on Blackcomb.

Live music will take over Skiers Plaza for all 10 days of the festival when the Fido Outdoor Concert Series returns with a jam-packed roster of talent from around the world. The incredible lineup features talent by the likes of Whistler’s own Willa, Busta Rhymes, Walk Off The Earth, Swollen Members and more- all for free.

Experience the artistic talents from Whistler and beyond at State of the ART, a free art exhibition open daily from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. throughout the entire festival. Watch an evening of world-class, mountain-centric storytelling at MULTIPLICITY on April 9. Or get your fill of all things festival when the Best of the Fest shows all the winners from the filmmaking and photography competitions on April 16.
