The Countdown is On! Only 7 days until Whistler Cornucopia kicks off!

Whistler, B.C. –  As quickly as the snowline is moving down the mountains, Whistler’s favourite kick-off to winter festival - Cornucopia, presented by BlueShore Financial – is almost upon us.

Taking place from November 10 – 20, Cornucopia will celebrate its 20th anniversary and with a lengthy line-up of events to sip, sample and savour, it can be hard to know which events to partake in.

What better way to start Cornucopia than with a party? Join us in celebrating Cornucopia’s 20th Anniversary Party at the Picnic: A Showcase of Whistler Culinary Excellence on Thursday November 10 at 6 p.m.. Celebrate alongside the visionaries and talent of Whistler's culinary tradition with grazing stations from Whistler restaurants and chefs paired with tastings from local and international beverage producers for a Whistler feast in the mountains.  Prior to this celebratory picnic like no other,  the Restaurant Association of Whistler Hall of Fame ceremony will take place, honouring the first-ever Hall of Fame inductee, Mario Enero.  Doors open for the Hall of Fame ceremony at 5:15 p.m. and a ticket to the Picnic is required for entry.

Not only is Cornucopia celebrating its 20th anniversary so is its flagship event – Crush Grand Tasting! On Saturday November 12, don’t miss out on this renowned event, where you can taste it all, with over 72 wineries to sample from. Taste your way through the night, finding new favourites from New-World to Old-World, sparkling to Champagne. Enjoy a dynamic, lively and sensational evening and don’t forget to also sample Cornucopia’s Top 20 Wines and discover for yourself why the experts honoured them.

Want to get a head start on the night? Purchase an early entry ticket to Crush Grand Tasting, and you, along with a limited number of attendees, will enjoy a complimentary glass of The Bub from Haywire Winery, while interacting with representatives from dozens of wineries. Early entry also allows you the opportunity to purchase the new option of a Cornucopia Sommelier Tour provided by Taste Whistler. These small group guided tours with groups of six or less, are a curated tasting experience exploring the highlights and nuances of the night's collection through the eyes of an expert. Tours are $35 per person and a Crush Grand Tasting Early Entry ticket is required.

Anchoring the second Saturday of Cornucopia , Poured Grand Tasting: The Full Spectrum of Taste, is the all-encompassing tasting event at Cornucopia. Experience the full spectrum of what the beverage industry has to offer as you sip scotch, an expertly crafted B.C. beer, a Canadian cider or a fine wine from across the globe.
