Whistler, B.C. – Whistler hosts the annual Village Beer Festival (WVBF), where barrels, barley and brewing take centre stage for five days of celer-BEER-ation. The much-anticipated event returns to Whistler with a bigger and better schedule, September 16-20.

What separates WVBF from other beer festivals? Whistler! A world-class village, surrounded by a stunning mountain backdrop – a picture-perfect playground for beer aficionado’s to revel in the festivities. The area boasts ease and accessibility with a plethora of bars, pubs and eateries, accommodation options to suite every need, a vibrant after-dark scene and an ever-expanding list of activities to be explored and enjoyed.

The third annual Whistler Village Beer Festival showcases 200 beers from 80 breweries, over five days, with 6,000 festival-goers predicted to attend. Guests are treated to an abundance of options, from educational seminars, cask nights, trivia competitions, brunches and lunches. New for 2015, is an extended main tasting event now spanning the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, featuring 70 breweries, live music, food trucks, retail stalls and VIP lounges.

While other festivals give out medals, the WVBF awards highly sought-after draught contracts. Top placing breweries in the peer nominated ‘Best in Fest’ contest will win the enviable opportunity of a one year draught contract with various venues throughout Whistler. The Longhorn Saloon, the Dubh Linn Gate Irish Pub, and Garibaldi Lift Co. contracts will be awarded to the first place winner.

Teaming smiles with stout, and altitude with ale, the Whistler Village Beer Festival is a must-attend event this summer. For more information CLICK HERE, or for a glimpse at what you can expect check out last year’s recap video.
