Whistler, B.C. – Mother Nature has delivered an early holiday gift to Whistler with a fresh dump of snow in the alpine.

The resort received 9 cm (4 inches) of snow in the last 24 hours and 35 cm (14 inches) in the last 48 hours, bringing the seven-day total snowfall to 75 cm (29 inches) and putting the base at 131 cm (51 inches, or more than four feet). And that's not all, as an additional 20 cm of snow is in the forecast tomorrow.

The resort is abuzz with the energy of the holiday season, as festive lights adorn the village and guests enjoy the endless lineup of holiday events. December brings the Whistler Holiday Experience, offering daily free family activities and entertainment at the Whistler Conference Centre, free Family Après events at Whistler Olympic Plaza each Monday and Wednesday evening and the Whistler Presents: New Year’s Eve family event on December 31.
