Whistler, B.C. – A record number of individually outstanding wines was submitted for consideration of the 2014 Cornucopia’s Top 25 selection. 10 distinguished judges from B.C.’s wine industry sampled, swirled and savoured in their quest to select the best of the best for Cornucopia’s Top 25.

Festival goers can taste these winning wines at the Top 25 Celebratory Reception taking place on Saturday, November 8 at the Whistler Public Library. Tickets for the event are $35 Cdn and always sell out quickly. The event is just one of many at Whistler’s Cornucopia presented by Blue Shore Financial – an 11-day celebration of food and drink.

Each winery participating in Crush Gala Grand Tasting was offered the opportunity to enter wines into the Top 25 competition. The judges tasted in a closed session before making their final selection.

“We, the judges, chose some very fine wines here!” says Daenna Van Mulligen, wine writer, accredited sommelier and Top 25 judge; “I’ve been a judge since Top 25 started and I have to say the quality this year was the best yet.”

Without further ado, the Top 25 wines for 2014 are:

Top White – Quails’ Gate Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay 2013
