Whistler, BC – Witness Whistler in all its fall glory this Thanksgiving weekend. Hunt for the best deals on ski and snowboard gear at the Turkey Sale, earn your Thanksgiving feast as you explore the mountains or feast in the fall food specials around town or at the Whistler Farmers’ Market.

Flock to the legendary Turkey Sale at the base of Blackcomb Mountain from October 7 – October 10 for huge savings on prime ski and snowboard gear, outerwear and accessories. The Whistler Mountain Ski and Snowboard Swap will be happening alongside the Turkey Sale for visitors after used gear or the opportunity to sell used equipment. And for those who come to the Turkey Sale after an actual turkey, you’re in luck. Turkeys will be for sale on October 8 for $15 with proceeds going towards the local food bank.

Choose to burn or earn your Thanksgiving feast with Whistler’s never-ending list of autumn activities. Take advantage of the last weekend of lift accessed hiking and sightseeing atop Whistler Blackcomb. For those after a hiking adventure once Thanksgiving has passed, seek out new vistas on the trails around the valley. For an adventure on two wheels, head out on the Valley Trail or in the last weekend of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Fall biking doesn’t stop with the summer lift schedule, with 300 miles of accessible single track. Get after it before the snow falls!

Stock the table with specialty items and local foods from the Whistler Farmers' Market. The last day of the Whistler Farmers Market falls on October 9 and will leave you with plenty to be thankful for. Take advantage of fall dining specials and book an atypical Thanksgiving dinner at one of Whistler’s diverse range of restaurants. For an even closer look at local food, visit Whistler for the Fungus Among Us Mushroom Festival on October 14 – 15. Learn about the wild world of mushrooms as the Whistler Naturalists present guided walks, talks and mushroom tastings.
