Whistler, B.C. – Mother Nature delivered snow to Whistler overnight and there’s more in the forecast, just in time for the non-stop lineup of festive holiday events.

Whether it’s the Sunday evening Fire and Ice show, the popular Whistler Holiday Experience, Family Après with outdoor skating and activities in the Village, the annual Whistler Present’s New Year’s Eve Celebration or the plethora of winter activity options, Whistler truly has something for everyone. The village is adorned with twinkling holiday lights and festive wreaths, making Whistler a winter wonderland not to be missed over the holiday season.

Starting today, the Whistler Conference Centre is transformed into an indoor winter wonderland with the Whistler Holiday Experience, offering an unparalleled family fun zone with mini putt, table games, bouncy castles, crafts and video games. The Whistler Holiday Experience runs each day from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. until January 5 (excluding December 25). Even Santa can’t stay away from the excitement and will stop by December 21 and 23 for photos.

There’s nothing quite like the Fire and Ice show to light up the village. World-class athletes flip and twist their way through a ring of fire and finish with a first-class fireworks display. The Fire and Ice show is performed by members of Whistler Blackcomb’s ski and snowboard school and takes place at the base of Whistler Mountain in Skier’s Plaza every Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Family Aprèshttp://www.whistler.com/christmas/ takes place at Whistler Olympic Plaza from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays until March 26, offering free outdoor Canadian fun with everything from outdoor skating, entertainment and activities.

When it comes to celebrating, no place does it better than Whistler and what better thing to celebrate than the end of one year and the start of another. Guests can ring in the New Year Whistler-style, with the Whistler Presents: New Year’s Eve Celebrations on December 31. The alcohol-free family entertainment and celebration takes place in the village. Ticket-holders have access to a range of venues with entertainment for all ages including music, arts, crafts, food, dancing and ice skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. with events at the Whistler Conference Centre and Millennium Place, culminating in a kids’ countdown at 9 p.m. and an all-ages Village Square dance celebration beginning at 10:30 p.m.
