Whistler, B.C. – The Whistler Film Festival returns for its 18th edition with five action-packed days of fresh films as well as interactive and industry sessions. Featuring over 80 innovative original films and award season fare, the festival brings together directors, actors, and film fans from around the world to Whistler Village.

Starring Ethan Hawke and Noomi Rapace, director Robert Budreau tells the strange story of the infamous 1973 hostage event in Stockholm.

IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK – Nov. 29 at 6:00PM & Nov. 30 at 2:30PM
An Oscar contender, director Barry Jenkins illuminates the story of a pregnant African-American woman seeking to clear the name of her wrongfully convicted husband and prove his innocence before their child is born.

ON THE BASIS OF SEX – Nov. 30 at 6:00PM & Dec. 1 at 2:30PM
Felicity Jones and Armie Hammer portray the story of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader in this Oscar contending biographical drama by director Mimi Leder.
