Exciting new events now on sale for Cornucopia, presented by BlueShore Financial
Whistler, B.C. - Whether it is October's crisp mornings, the vibrant
changing foliage, dreams of an epic winter season, local farms' fall harvest or
perhaps all of the above; autumn inspires Whistler's culinary minds into
creative "horns o' plenty".
In keeping with previous years, the culinary options abound this November
8-18th at the 22nd annual Cornucopia,
presented by BlueShore Financial. Festival goers can choose from a diverse
festival "menu" for every taste and budget - from over-the-top indulgent to the
budget-friendly. The following is just a snapshot of new events patrons can
expect.
For those looking to splurge on a unique, private dining experience like no
other - look no further than The Blue
Room. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler and Headline
Mountain Holidays have partnered to provide an extraordinary culinary
experience set within a hidden cave of cathedral-like blue ice. Guests can
expect to enjoy luxury offerings such as Krug Champagne, Northern Divine
caviar, locally sourced oysters, grilled long bone with roasted vegetables and
more. If The Blue Room is out of price range - the Billecart-Salmon
Champagne Après Party at SIDECUT Steak + Bar could fit the bill.
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is presenting an all-female chef collaborative
dinner for the second year. New for 2018, Fairmont Chateau Whistler executive
chef Isabel Chung partners alongside executive chef Eva Chin from Vancouver's
Royal Dinette. This powerhouse duo will showcase the best of BC ingredients at
the Bella
Wines Collaborative dinner in The Grill Room at the Fairmont Chateau
Whistler.
The ever-popular Chef's Table
Luncheons - which take place in some of Whistler's luxurious private homes
- are not new to the schedule however, two of the guest restaurateurs are. For
the first time to Cornucopia's schedule, Wildebeest's
Chef Ian McHale and Wine Director Justin Everett will showcase the restaurant's
classic-meets-contemporary approach during this multi-course luncheon.
Chef Eric Pateman is no stranger to the culinary stage at Cornucopia however
new for this year, Chef Pateman will highlight Edible
Canada dishes that are all-encompassing of Canadian cuisine. From Chef
Pateman's early roots of a tiny one-man culinary concierge service into today's
leading ambassadors of Canadian cuisine - interested patrons should grab their
tickets quick - Edible Canada's past appearances have sold-out quickly.
Pangea Pod Hotel is celebrating their first fall and winter season in
operation and what better way than with a party? Pangea Pod is home to
Whistler's only rooftop deck hence the aptly named Rooftop
Rendezvous at Pangea Pod. This après-ski style afternoon event features
handcrafted cocktails and bites from hotel's Living Room Café.
The busy schedule may have festival-goers yearning to rejuvenate. The team
at Hunter Gather agrees and the team is pleased to present the "Unwined'
Yoga & Wine.
The Audain Art Museum will be home to Cornucopia's first signature party - Abstract:
Future - From Here to Eternity. Each year, Abstract will return to the
schedule with a new theme aimed to excite and inspire. Abstract is an
opportunity for ticketholders to experience an unforgettable evening of art,
entertainment, food and drink at the inaugural edition of Cornucopia's newest
signature party event.
