Whistler, B.C. – The Whistler Village Beer Festival returns to Whistler, September 11 – 16, extending its festivities to six full days this year. This annual event offers guests the chance to sample craft beers and ciders, enjoy delicious food and take in live musical entertainment, all in a beautiful mountain setting.

Over 140 beers will be featured in Whistler Olympic Plaza for the Main Event on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16. Attendees can expect food trucks and live music to be on hand supplementing tastings with delicious food and entertainment throughout the weekend. Leading up to the Main Event, participating breweries will be taking over the taps of various village restaurants and bars, sampling out featured ales and ciders throughout the week.

A crowd favourite, the signature Master Crafters – Fruit Fight Signature Event on September 14 at the Longhorn Saloon will put breweries to the ultimate beer battle. Fruit infused brews are this year’s theme, as participants can taste blind samples and cast votes. Guests will enjoy tasty appetizers and live music as votes are cast, collected, and a challenge winner is unveiled.

Axes and Ales
Kicking off the festival on September 11, Axes and Ales will combine thrill and taste starting with an axe throwing session at Forged Axe in Function Junction. Beer tastings will follow at Coast Mountain and move on to feature a BBQ along with live music the Whistler Brewing Co.

Craft Cultures: Sea, Land, Sky – Signature Event
New this year, the Squamish Lil’wat Culture Centre is set to host an evening of live music and tastings on September 12. Ales and ciders will be available for tasting and served with delicious appetizers crafted to evoke the theme of sea, land and sky found in the Coast Mountain range.
