World Ski and Snowboard Festival sends off another Whistler winter

Whistler, B.C. – The World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) returns to Whistler April 10-15, 2018 sending off the winter in true mountain style. Experience the six-day celebration of mountain culture with a lineup of competitions, art shows, and live entertainment.

Live music will take WSSF to the next level with bands and international DJs spinning all six-days of the festival. The incredible music lineup will feature Canadian electronic music group A Tribe Called Red and multiple Grammy winner DJ Jazzy Jeff set to hit the stage during the Big Air competitions.

The historic Saudan Couloir Ski Race Extreme, the world’s steepest ski race, will return after a more than 15-year hiatus. Check out the Monster Energy Boarderstyle World Championships from April 13-14 at the base of Whistler Mountain. Get ready to look up as athletes give it their all in the Ski and Snowboard Big Air competitions at the base of Whistler Mountain from April 13-14. Don’t miss out on what could be the Jerry of the Day as the Twisted Tea Slush Cup returns on Sunday, April 15 wrapping up the festival at the Tube Park on Blackcomb Mountain.

Explore art from local talent and beyond at the SWATCH Art + Soul Gallery, a free art exhibit open daily from April 10-13. Join an evening of visual storytelling at MULTIPLICITY on April 10 featuring eight mountain-inspired adventurers at this free event. Watch the Olympus 72 Hour Filmmaker Showdown kicking off at 9 p.m. on April 11 as teams present short films taken within 100-km of Whistler. Or discover what it means to capture that perfect shot at the Olympus Pro Photographer Showdown starting at 9 p.m. on April 12.
