Whistler, B.C. – With snow, sun and endless activities in the forecast for the days ahead, Whistler is all set for the perfect storm of a weekend just in time for BC Family Day.

Bring family and friends together to celebrate and enjoy time together in Whistler. With so much to see and do, we’ve hand-picked five family favourites to get you started:

  1. Ski, board or see the sights atop Whistler Blackcomb with the entire family.  BC Residents can take advantage of 50% off full-day lift and sightseeing tickets at Whistler Blackcomb on BC Family Day – February 13, 2017. Warm up with Whistler’s best green runs, explore the family zones, scope out the hidden Treefort on Whistler, the Magic Castle on Blackcomb or enjoy a round of waffles at the Crystal Hut.
  2. Redefine après with Family Après at the Olympic Plaza. From free outdoor activities, entertainment and skating ($5 rentals available), there’s something everyone in the family will enjoy. Visit Family Après on Family Day from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m., as well as all season long on Monday and Wednesday afternoons until March 29, 2017.
  3. Try something tried and true or completely new at the Whistler Olympic Park on February 13 when all admission tickets for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, tobogganing, fat biking and sightseeing will be 50% off. Besides 50% admission, the Insider gives you 5 more unique reasons to visit the Callaghan Valley this winter.
  4. Get creative with Kids Après at the Whistler Museum. The Whistler Museum will be hosting button-making, LEGO, hot chocolate and colouring from February 11 to 13 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is by donation and allows you and yours to explore the Whistler Museum in the year of its 30th anniversary. Kids Après will be back at the Whistler Museum from February 17 to 20 and again during Spring Break in March.
  5. See what SnowKidz Sunday at the Whistler Olympic Park on February 12 is all about. Kids, youth and parents are invited for an introduction to the world of Nordic skiing from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Snowkidz will also be offering the chance to give Bromley Baseboarding a try on the toboggan hill from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Activities are free with a day trail ticket or seasons pass.
