Whistler, B.C. – Whistler welcomes back Whistler Pride and Ski Festival, featuring eight fabulous days and nights of activities and events, January 23-31.

From humble beginnings 24 years ago, to now being one of North America’s most celebrated gay and lesbian ski weeks – the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival has evolved its events calendar to present a week-long celebration of gender diversity and over-the-top fun in the mountains.

Highlights for the 2016 festival include CABN, a new event venue at the Aava Hotel that welcomes guests to sit back, relax and enjoy the change of pace with the new wellness series, January 25. Featuring healing yin and restorative yoga, combined with head massages, and Reiki (Japanese stress reduction technique).

Other stand-out events include Buffalo Bills Cowboy/Cowgirl Party, January 26, and the ‘Oh Snow She Didn’t’ comedy evening featuring Bianca Del Rio (winner of Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race), Jackie Beat, Sherry Vine & Varla Jean Merman on January 27.

Get wet and go wild at the always popular Splash Pool Party, January 28. Enjoy sweet beats from Vancouver’s DJ Del Stamp when she throws down some of the hottest tracks to keep you moving and shaking, plus enjoy the Finlandia Vodka cash bar to keep you hydrated.

Snowball closes the festival with the mega-sound of award-winning Israeli DJ and producer Yinon Yahel, along with a performance by the awe-inspiring Flava on January 30.

With all the parties and entertainment, don’t forget the fun on the mountains. Thanks to a stellar start to the ski season, Whistler Blackcomb is reporting a base of 203 centimetres and 583 centimetres of cumulative snowfall so far for the 2015/2016 winter season.
